Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) is planning to undertake the construction of a substation in Al Watania, Cairo, Egypt.
The project involves the construction of 220/66/22kV Gas-insulated substation (GIS). It includes the construction of 3X125 MVA substation, 220/66KV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), 22KV conventional, an electrical feeder system and associated facilities, the installation of transformers, switchgear, cables and the laying of transmission lines.
In August 2016, Siemens was appointed as main contractor.
Construction works are underway and the project is expected to be completed by May 2018.

The project involves the construction of a 220/66/22kV Gas-insulated substation in Al Watania, Cairo, Egypt.
