West Nile Delta Onshore Gas Terminal Project
The project involves the construction of a gas terminal to process more than one billion cubic feet of gas per day (bcf/day). It includes the construction of a processing plant, storage facilities, a transmitting station and a jetty; the installation of vapor handling system, pressure vessels and safety systems, and laying of pipelines.
Bechtel has been appointed as an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contractor for the project.
WorleyParsons has been appointed as the technical consultant.
- In December 2011, the groundbreaking ceremony was held marking the start of front-end engineering and design (FEED) and early site works.
- As of January 2017, front-end engineering and design (FEED) and early site work completed.
- In February 2017, construction works commenced and are underway. The project is scheduled to be fully operational in 2019.
